We’re excited to invite representation from your organization to a roundtable discussion to help shape CSCNL’s new youth employment program, Achieving Success through Community ENgagement & Development (ASCEND).
Date: Thursday, January 16
Time: 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Location: CSCNL Boardroom, 25 Anderson Avenue, St. John’s
ASCEND is an innovative program designed to support NEET youth (aged 15-30, not in employment, education, or training) by placing them with community sector organizations like yours for fully subsidized 19-21 week work placements. Before these placements begin, participants will undergo two weeks of career and personal development training to ensure they’re well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to your team.
This roundtable is your opportunity to:
- Share your organization’s needs and insights on youth employment programs.
- Influence the design of ASCEND to ensure it’s employer-informed and impactful.
- Learn how your organization can participate as a host employer.
Your feedback will be invaluable in shaping a program that benefits both the youth participants and community sector organizations across Newfoundland and Labrador.
