The Community Sector Council Newfoundland and Labrador (CSCNL) is delighted to welcome our friends from Imagine Canada to our province in the coming weeks. This will be the first in a series of conversations co-hosted by Imagine Canada and regional partners taking place in four provinces this fall. Imagine Canada’s 2024 co-hosted Regional Conversations are presented by PearTree Canada. These free events happening in Gander and St. John’s are for senior leaders (paid staff and volunteers) from across the non-profit ecosystem to connect, share challenges and opportunities, and strengthen our collective impact. We envision a diverse group of participants representing various sub-sectors, organization types, and sizes, with a focus on creating an inclusive space for a diversity of voices to foster connection, collaboration and positive change within our sector. Travel subsidies for mileage may be available (see the registration form for more details).Together, we will explore questions across two thematic areas:
- Building bridges between local and national/federal priorities: What challenges and opportunities do you see that are most deeply affecting your organization as it seeks to fulfill its mission and positively impact your community? How can we better align our efforts at the regional and national/federal levels to address the most critical issues affecting our communities?
- The role of the non-profit, community sector and the social determinants of health: As per the recent Health Accord, how does your organization define well-being and your contribution to improving social determinants of health? What opportunities and barriers exist that affect our collective ability to address the social determinants of health?
Please register to attend by September 4th.
