Volunteer Application Form

Volunteers are the backbone of the work we do at Thrive. Our Volunteers assist an established team in delivering services to those who are disconnected from community supports, services, educational opportunities, etc.

1. Supporting Drop-in services on Thursday evenings, through making coffee, providing personal care items, and chatting with participants
2. Cooking meals for Thursday night Drop-in meal
3. Assisting with cooking meals and kitchen clean-up on Thursday evenings
4. Taking part in Street Reach’s Thursday evening outreach walks.

Volunteer Requirements –

It is important to note that we do ask our volunteers to be at least 18 years of age.

Depending on the program area that you are interested in, it may be an asset to have experience working with at-risk populations. This is to ensure that we provide opportunities that are a good fit for volunteers and meet the needs of our program participants.

Thrive strives to find volunteers who can make an ongoing commitment to our organization.  You will not be asked to complete a minimum number of shifts per month. It is our hope that you join our volunteer team and contribute in ways that work with your schedule and highlight your skills.

A Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Persons Check is a requirement.

Completing a Volunteer Application

Applicants interested in volunteering with Thrive should note that volunteer applications can usually be submitted once a year. A volunteer call-out will be posted on our web page, news flash, and on our social media platforms.
