| Volunteer Recognition Reception at Government House | In celebration of Volunteer Week 2025, Her Honour The Honourable Joan Marie Aylward, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador will host a reception for volunteers at Government House on Wednesday, April 30th, 2025 at 2:30 PM.

| Special conversation with Autumn Peltier | 
On May 1st, Volunteer Canada is hosting a special conversation with Autumn Peltier! Autumn is an International Indigenous Rights & Water activist making waves around the globe. Amongst many accolades, Autumn has received the Sovereign Medal of Exceptional Volunteerism from the Governor-General of Canada and has been featured in Canada’s TOP 50 PowerFigures by Macleans and Elle’s 100: Women Who Are Changing the World.
This special event will feature an exclusive screening of The Water Walker film, followed by a dynamic conversation with Autumn and Volunteer Canada on youth leadership, reconciliation, and the transformative role of volunteerism in advancing change.

| Harbour Grace Volunteer Week NL Tea & Coffee Luncheon | Come to our tea and coffee luncheon and celebrate Volunteer Week NL in Harbour Grace! To recognize how “Volunteers Make Waves,” we’re applauding the importance of every volunteer and each contribution they make at a moment when we need support more than ever.
The luncheon will take place on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 12 p.m. (noon) – 2 p.m. at the HGVFB Social Building, Bannerman Street, Harbour Grace, NL.
Our Annual Sports Hall of Fame & Town Awards Reception will be held on Thursday, May 8, at 7 p.m.
