Supported by the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation
Well-being Week is an initiative aimed at fostering awareness of the social determinants of health and exploring the multifaceted aspects of well-being. By coming together as a community, we can make a significant impact on improving the quality of life for individuals and societies alike.
At the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation, we believe in building a healthier future for all our kids, a future where children and families have the support they need to thrive, not only when challenges arise but well before they begin.
That’s why we are proud to support Well-being Week by providing funding for community organizations across Newfoundland and Labrador to host events and activities focused on upstream interventions – proactive approaches that address the root causes of health and well-being challenges before they escalate.
By investing in initiatives that nurture physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being, we are helping to create the conditions where children and families can grow stronger, healthier, and more resilient. These events are opportunities to spark conversations, build community connections, and raise awareness about the social determinants of health, the factors in our homes, schools, and communities that influence lifelong health outcomes.
Through the support of donors, fundraisers, and volunteers, the Janeway Foundation is committed to working alongside community organizations to deliver programs and experiences that reflect our values of collaboration, inclusivity, and accountability. Together, we can help ensure that families across Newfoundland and Labrador have access to the resources, knowledge, and community supports they need for a brighter, healthier tomorrow.
