Canadian Social Enterprise Sector Survey 2026
Help shape the future of social enterprise in Canada. Take the Survey here
The first national social enterprise survey in a decade is now live.
Led by Buy Social Canada in partnership with CSCNL and 13 other sector partners nationwide, this survey aims to build an updated national picture of how social enterprises operate, the impact they create, and the challenges and opportunities they face.
Your participation ensures Newfoundland and Labrador’s social enterprises are represented in national data.
Why This Matters
Social enterprises play a vital role in strengthening communities, advancing social and environmental solutions, and contributing to Canada’s economy.
The information gathered through this survey will help inform advocacy, research, policy, funding pathways, and strategic initiatives that support long-term sustainability across the sector.
By participating, you are contributing to a stronger evidence base that will influence how social enterprises are recognized and supported nationwide.
Who Should Participate?
This survey is open to social enterprises that:
• Sell goods or services
• Embed a social, cultural, or environmental purpose into their operations
• Reinvest the majority (51%+) of profits or surplus back into that purpose
Organizations of all sizes, regions, and business models are encouraged to participate.
