Xavier House opened in September 1985 as a Level One Personal Care Home for adults with mental illness, offering supervised care for up to 20 persons.Xavier House is open to persons with mental illness who are seeking a supervised setting and support in their efforts to remain well, and who are willing to participate in activities planned for the well being of all residents. Inspired by the Gospel values of justice and compassion, Xavier House exists as a Christian community of hospitality and service where, in an atmosphere of love, healing and joy, all receive respect, dignity and professional care and are challenged to personal growth and wholeness.
