Deer Lake is home to a wide variety of recreational facilities and for all ages. The Hodder Memorial Recreation Complex houses the communitys ice surface along with an indoor swimming pool, and the Humber River Lanes bowling alley. Current organizations that operate in the complex are Deer Lake Minor Hockey Association, Deer Lake Figure Skating Club, and the Deer Lake Dolphins Swim Team.
