Promote and support community needs through volunteer efforts of local lodges. Fund-raising, the money is available to numerous groups that apply to the club. Each group is researched to determine the greatest need. Children that need medical attention and are not able to get it in St. John's or do not have the funds can receive help. At the end of each year the club determines where the money raised may have the most benefit
Social activities for the community
The Association exists to promote communication among our nursing school graduates. Membership fees are the primary revenue source funding this newsletter, class reunions and general operating expenses. Classes preparing for reunions can request financial assistance from the Association to help offset reunion expenses.

The Horse and Pony Protection Association of Newfoundland and Labrador Inc, (HAPPA-NL for short), is a registered charitable foundation with the main focus of providing care for unwanted, neglected, abused or injured horses and ponies. HAPPA-NL also operates the only equine sanctuary in Newfoundland and Labrador at Hopeall, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland.
St. John's Intergroup is an AA service group that involves a partnership among groups in St. John's and area, just as an AA group is a partnership of individuals. Intergroup was established to carry out certain functions common to all St. John's area AA groups, functions which are best handled by a centralized group.
The organization was established in response to the Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Government of Ireland in 1996. The IBP has a mandate to identify, foster and promote trade and partnership opportunities in business, education and culture between Newfoundland & Labrador and Ireland.

The Kiwanis Club of Grand Falls-Windsor is a community-based organization that is best known for the music festival it holds each spring, in which musicians and singers from across the Exploits Valley perform and receive constructive criticism from adjudicators. The club holds weekly luncheons for members with the intention of promoting networking and discussion of subjects of interest to the community.
The first of these clubs - the Kiwanis Club of St. John's - comprised of members who had a strong interest in music and were very keen on the idea of starting a proper music festival.
