Our Club members are actively involved in various community projects such as Topsail Beach Rotary Park, Rotary Paradise Youth Centre and most recently the Manuels River Interpretation Centre. Our Club holds its' weekly dinner meetings at the Woodstock Colonial Inn,main highway in Paradise, starting at 6:30pm each Wednesday. Our Club has a membership of forty members and has completed several major community projects in recent years.
The St. John's East Foundation was established in 1996 to manage the charitable funds of the Club. These funds are raised through fund raising activities, principally, the annual gala event, Wheels and Deals. The Foundation is managed by a five member Board elected from the members of the Rotary Club of St. John's East
Ongoing programs include the provision of funds to recognized local charities that provide food to the needy within the city of St. John's. The charity also sponsors other charities that have unique needs; such as the provision of facilities for "special needs" groups - e.g. mental illness, physically, handicapped, etc

Part of the cadet program, which is the largest federally-sponsored youth program in Canada that includes the Royal Canadian Sea, Army and Air Cadets.
The aim of the Cadet Program is to develop in youth the attributes of good citizenship and leadership, promote physical fitness and stimulate the interest of youth in sea activities of the Canadian Forces. Sea cadets learn seamanship skills, including navigation and how to sail.
