Waterloo Loyal Orange Lodge No. 18 has been designated a municipal heritage site by the Town of New Perlican due to its aesthetic, historical and social values. Waterloo Loyal Orange Lodge No. 18 has social value to the community, given its association with the Loyal Orange Association and its function in providing community support through benevolent acts and in coordinating many public, social functions.

Since its construction, the lodge has been used primarily by the Twillingate Masonic Lodge No. 2364 for various masonic functions. In addition, the building has served the needs of other community organisations. The community also uses the first level for various functions such as craft shows and gatherings.
This is a fraternal organization which supports fundraising, community events, etc.
Masonic Lodge of Bay Roberts (Lodge Mackay) is located on the Conception Bay Highway. As a fraternal organization, it has existed in Bay Roberts for over 80 years. At present there are approximatly 100 members. The members meet every second Wednesday in the month during the months of October to May.
