Bridges Employment Corporation was formed in May 1995 to aid individuals with developmental disabilities obtain meaningful long-term employment for an equitable rate of pay. Bridges also provides job search and job match services, career counseling, job development and self-employment initiatives.

Special Olympics Newfoundland and Labrador (SONL) is dedicated to enriching the lives of Newfoundlanders and Labradoreans with an intellectual disability through sport. It is a provincial not-for-profit grassroots organization that provides sport training and competition opportunities athletes of all ages and abilities. Through sport SONL offers athletes and families a sense of achievement and an opportunity to excel as they take on leadership roles within their community.
