The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC) believes that a cure will be found for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Therefore the CCFC is committed to raise funds for medical research. The CCFC also believes it is important to make all individuals with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) aware of the Foundation, and educate these individuals, their families, health professionals and the general public about these diseases.
Destination Gander is the primary marketing agency for the Town of Gander. The mission of Destination Gander is to provide economic development through the promotion of Gander as a premier conference, meeting, and event destination for provincial and regional clients. Destination Gander is dedicated to providing an advocacy and leadership role in helping to develop the local hospitality industry. Destination Gander is also involved in the development and facilitation of new events for the community.

The Old Trails were developed by the Eastport Peninsula Heritage Society with support from the Canada Youth Service Program. These paths and cart trails once linked families in Salvage with those who settled in the early coastal communities of Newman Sound: Broomclose and Barrow Harbour. Today eight of these trails form a 12 kilometre hiking corridor along the Eastport Peninsula from Sandy Cove to Salvage.
The Emmanuel Convention Centre is the setting for several annual events hosted by the Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland/Labrador including;Family Camp (8 days in July), Youth Breakaway I and II (June and August),Womens Ministries Convention (September),Biannual General Conference (June),Biannual Leadership Seminar (June of non-conference year),and Annual Pastoral Conferences (October). The Centre is also available to rent for external events.

Gander Fire Rescue is a composite (career and volunteer) Department under the direction of a volunteer Fire Chief, providing fire and rescue services to the town of Gander, CFB Gander and surrounding area. Gander Fire Rescue conducts fire prevention, code enforcement, public safety and other inspections, under the direction of the Fire Inspector. Home fire safety inspections, solid fuel burning appliance inspections, or other personal needs inspections can be arranged by calling the Office of the Fire Inspector at 256-8866.
