Indian Bay Ecosystem Corporation is a non-profit community organization with the goal of protecting Indian Bay watershed through research, community engagement and sound stewardship.The Indian Bay area was known in fishing circles for its large native Brook Trout. In the 1970?s and 80?s easier access, increased fishing pressure, poor conservation ethic and lack of management led to declines in brook trout populations and the deterioration of the watershed. Growing concern for the watershed led a group of concerned citizens to take action. Since its formation in 1988 by the Gambo-Indian Bay Development Association, the Indian Bay Ecosystem Corporation, has made many inroads in restoring the watershed back to its former pristine condition.

The Janes House, built by Ambrose and Sarah Janes in 1898 was donated by the Janes family several years ago for the purpose of housing a museum. It is one of the oldest structures in Glovertown and was constructed using many of the original building techniques that are no longer in use today. The museum staff would be glad to tell visitors about the unique features of this remarkable house.The Janes House Museum was developed with the theme of resettlement in mind, which is the story of peoples movement from the Islands of Bonavista Bay to Growth Centers such as Glovertown. Other related themes include; boatbuilding, the Spring Drive, and Glovertown Heritage.

The Ken Diamond Memorial Park is attracting trout and waterfowl, and helping residents and visitors to understand the importance of preserving our ecological treasures.To date the park boasts several kilometres of walking trails and bridges, taking in several natural habitats. There is also a lookout area where visitors can enjoy an arial view of the park. Along the walking trails visitors can read the information plaques to understand more about the plant life, water fowl and other important aspects of the park.
KidSport Newfoundland and Labrador believes that no kid should be left on the sidelines and all should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports. KidSport provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sports.

The Kiwanis Club of Gander meets on the first and third Thursday of each month, except for July and August, at 7:30 pm in the Conference Room at the JR Smallwood Arts and Culture Center, Gander, NL. The club's main projects are the Gander and Area Kiwanis Music Festival,and the Kiwanis Summer Music Camp.
