BWMC inc. Is a committee focused on providing a well managed and environmentally sound regional waste management site for the surrounding communities. Wherein we provide land fill services and/or promote services such as; waste collection, waste diversion and recycling. Our mission is to reduce the amount of landfill sites in Bay St. George, Port au Port Peninsula and Bay St. George South which were becoming a greater threat to the environment. By instituting this regional landfill site, we are hoping to fulfill a need for long term, well managed waste management.
Calder Health Centre is located in the town of Burgeo and provides Primary Health Care Services and Long Term Care Services to the Communities of Burgeo, Grand Bruit, Grey River, Francois and Ramea. Services include; emergency, support, recreational, out-patient, and pharmacy services.
The Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre Foundation is a registered charitable organization created in 1987 to raise funds for the purchase of new and replacement medical equipment for the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre. The Foundation acts as a fund raising body in support of the charitable objectives and programs of the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre while increasing public awareness of the activities of the Centre. It encourages increased endowments and bequests from former patients and/or their families to supplement funding for equipment and research while conducting public campaigns in support of particular or general equipment needs of the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre and/or needs for clinical research.
Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville is a forty-four bed acute care center with a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services for the people of the Bay St. George catchment area. The catchment area services by Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital is between the Port au Port Peninsula east to Gallants and south to the Jeffreys-St. Fintans area serving a population of approximately 24,000.
