About ASCEND Community Works
ASCEND Community Works is a program from the Community Sector Council of Newfoundland and Labrador (CSCNL) that supports youth in building the personal and professional skills they need to succeed in the workforce. Through interactive workshops, ASCEND helps participants build confidence, explore career pathways, and strengthen essential workplace skills.
Call for Workshop Facilitators
We are seeking workshop facilitators for ASCEND Cohort 3.
Facilitators will deliver virtual workshops focused on job readiness, confidence-building, and life skills for youth participants.
Facilitators from across Canada are welcome to apply.
Workshop Topics of Interest
• Soft skills
• Resume writing
• Interview preparation
• Career exploration & goal setting
• Workplace professionalism
• Digital literacy
• Financial literacy
• Mental health–related topics (workplace & personal development)
EOIs for other relevant personal and professional development topics are also welcome.
Workshop Format
• Delivery: Virtual (online)
• Audience: Youth participants in the ASCEND program
• Style: Interactive, practical, and accessible
• Timing: During the ASCEND Cohort 3 program period
