The College for Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CLPNNL), in accordance with the Licensed Practical Nurses' Act, has the legislative responsibility for regulating the practice of Licensed Practical Nurses in Newfoundland and Labrador. The mission of the CLPNNL is to promote safety and protection of the general public through the provision of safe, competent and ethical nursing care.
The CMTNL is legislated to ensure high professional and educational standards for massage therapists. High standards of care protect the public. All massage therapists are required to be registered with the College and to be members of the Newfoundland and Labrador Massage Therapists' Association.

Bonavista campus of College of the North Atlantic is located on the east coast of Newfoundland in Bonavista Bay. The historic and scenic community is home to approximately 4,000 residents. Bonavista campus is unique with respect to the provincial education scene, as it is linked with the local high school, Discovery Collegiate. There is a skywalk connecting the two buildings, learning resources are shared, and some college courses are offered to high school students.
