The Great Labrador Canoe Race was established in 2010 to showcase a rich history of travel by canoe in Labrador. While canoe travel was mainly associated with a vibrant trapping heritage and a subsistence lifestyle, today's canoe interest is one of adventure and freedom to access the interior wilderness of Labrador.
