- Create and maintain a valuable resource hub for community sector organizations, including a curated database of funding sources, best practices, and capacity-building resources.
- Provide support for the establishment of provincial, community and/or impact funds, fostering collaboration and capitalizing the collective impact of community organizations across the province.
- Engagement:
- Support the CEO in external communications by managing social media channels, bi-monthly newsletters and media inquiries.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with private sector organizations, businesses, foundations, and impact investors to secure financial support and strategic, mission partnerships.
- Provide subject matter expertise to internal staff as well as the broader community as capacity allows.
What you bring to the table:
We recognize that talent comes from everywhere and the below are suggested qualifications. If you feel you fit the above description, please consider applying.
- Post-secondary in a relevant field such as Business, Nonprofit Management, Communication, or a related discipline.
- Professional experience in fund development, nonprofit fundraising, or a related role, with a successful track record.
- Possession of a recognized fundraising certification (e.g., CFRE – Certified Fund Raising Executive) is an asset but not required.
- Proficiency in using fundraising, content creation and other software.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with donors, stakeholders, and team members.
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration abilities, fostering a cooperative and inclusive work environment.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills to navigate the evolving challenges and opportunities within the nonprofit sector.
What we bring to the table:
This is a one-year position with an opportunity for extension. Willingness to travel and use of a personal vehicle may be required, but accommodations can be provided. We are open to candidates who can work from one of our offices or who choose to work remotely from anywhere in Newfoundland and Labrador.
CSCNL provides a competitive total compensation package:
- This is a full-time position with an annual salary in the $60,000-$70,000 range.
- Enrollment in our Health and Dental program
- Employer-Employee shared contributions to a pension plan
- Three weeks annual leave in addition to 12 days wellness leave, plus recognized statutory holidays.
- Cultural leave of up to 3-days for observation of religious holidays plus other leave provisions.
- Flexible work arrangements based on a 35-hour work week.
What you can expect from the interview process:
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the right candidate is found. Interviews will begin after April 22, 2024 with a target to begin in May/June. All applicants will receive a response. As this is a competitive process, no phone calls please, instead email your application to info@cscnl.ca
Recognizing interviewing is a time-intensive process, we will be providing interview questions in advance for those chosen and compensating interviewees with $50 for their time. All interviewees will receive a response and can request feedback.
At CSCNL, we are committed to creating a respectful, inclusive, and barrier-free workplace that allows all of our people to reach their full potential. We welcome all interested candidates to apply and encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all of the above requirements. Candidates who have an equivalent level of transferrable skills and experience would be considered and encouraged to apply.
